Meet Our Eagle Scouts

Ronald Roselli ~ 1991

Ron's Eagle Project consisted of construction of a 500 foot bog bridge through a wetland on the Walk About Trail, Washington Management area, Rhode Island.

Steven Keefe ~ 1992

Steve's Eagle Project was the cleaning and painting of an outdoor gym activity area for the Garvin School, Cumberland, R.I. play ground. 

Jason Gardener ~ 1992

Jason's Eagle Project consisted of collecting food baskets to be given out to the needy of our area at Christmas Time.

Mark Pawlitschek ~ 1993

Mark's Eagle Project was the clearing and marking of the Nine Man Misery walking Trail at the Monastery Grounds, Cumberland, R.I. 

Brendon Boragene ~ 1994

Brendon's Eagle Project consisted of clearing brush and cleaning up the Cumberland Library grounds. 

Leo Tetreault Jr. ~ 1994

Leo's Eagle Project consisted of the clearing of brush and trash from the Historic Grange Cemetery Abbot Run Valley Road, Cumberland, RI.

Chad Dillon ~ 1995

Chad's Eagle Project was the construction of a canoe ramp and portage site on the Blackstone River, Manville, RI. This project went along with a state wide clean up of the National Blackstone River Valley Heritage Corridor during Earth Day. When completed it was one of the top ten Earth Day Projects nation wide for 1995. 

Richard Greene III ~ 1996

Rich's Eagle Project established libraries for two low-income housing projects in Pawtucket, RI. His project collected over 500 books for the two libraries.

David Wood Jr. ~ 1996

Dave's Eagle Project was the construction of a portage site and two canoe ramps to get around the Albion Dam, Blackstone River, Lincoln, R.I. 

Raymond Kelley Jr. ~ 1996

Ray's Eagle Project was a two phase project that help build a hiking trail along the Blackstone River, Cumberland, RI.

Phase I: To clear access trails along the Blackstone River and to continue the construction of a hiking trail started by another eagle project

Phase II: During the 1996 Earth Day, Ray with help from area youth groups they cleared debris and trash of an abandoned dump site abutting the hiking trail. 

Robert Bradshaw ~ 1998

Rob's Eagle Project consisted of clearing brush and trash from the Blackstone Heritage Park, Broad St., Cumberland, RI. 

James Twohey ~ 1999

James's Eagle Project consisted of the planting of 250 saplings along the walking trail in the Cumberland Monastery grounds and Diamond Hill Park. 

Christopher Young ~ 1999

A two phase project for St Joseph's Church, Mendon Road,, Cumberland, Rhode Island

Phase I. The clearing of brush and downed trees in the Historic St Joseph's Cemetery. 

Phase II: The construction of a 14 foot cross and shelter for a 4ft. tall, 75 year old wooden carved Jesus. 

Erik Thurston ~ 2000

Erik's Eagle Project consisted of the cleaning and clearing of the Blackstone River Canal along the bike path during Earth Day 1999. During the project over 75 people took part. 

Seth Hetu ~ 2000

Seth's Eagle Project was the construction of several picnic tables for the Christian youth camp Camp Ker-Anna, Cumberland, RI.

Chris Parent ~ 2001

Chris's Eagle Project started in January, 2000 with the introduction of a bill into the RI House of Representatives. The bill proposed by Chris would require the addition of CPR Training to the Driver Education Program. Working with the American Heart Assoc., and the RI Health Dept. to come up with statistics that more people trained in CPR would a save lives. The other part of his project was a one day mass CPR certification program. In one day 110 people were trained and certified in CPR. Chris continues with his project even today. The House passed the bill as a resolution in 2000 and Chris rewrote the bill this year and reintroduced it for the 2001 session.

Steve D'Ambrosia ~ 2001

Steve's Eagle Project consisted of the planning, organization and execution of a inner-city youth outdoor program. He's project got city youth out into the country with activities and a picnic.

Steve Dandeneau ~ 2001

Steve's Eagle Project was the construction of a hiking trail that started on Angell Road in Cumberland, RI and traversed the town's green acres property to Red Gate Road. The project completed the trail, installed trail head signs, performed general cleaning and constructed a sheltered information board for the site.     

Brendan Shorter ~ 2001

Brendan's Eagle Project was the construction of a gateway and fencing for the Town of Cumberland's Green Acres and Hiking Trail between Angell Rd. and Red Gate Road.  Within a week after the project was completed the Shorter family returned to replace the fencing. A neighbor didn't like his private dump site blocked to him, so he tore it down.  

Sean M. Bernier ~ 2003

Sean's Eagle Project was the renovations of a house for the organization House of Compassion. The project gave a family a better place to live and start their lives over.  During the project they cleared old furniture and trash from the house then cleaned and painted it's rooms. 

James Abbott ~ 2003

James's Eagle Project consisted of the planning, organization and running of a food drive for the local needy.  Over and about collecting food from the troop members and their families, he ran a music event for local artists that donated their time. The cover for the event was a can of food. During the event several hundred pounds of food was collected. 

Peter DiLorenzo ~ 2003

Peter's Eagle Project consisted of clearing the brush and debris from a chain link fence and a eroded bank in St. Joseph's Historic Cemetery on Mendon Rd. Cumberland, RI.  After the clearing was completed, wild flower seeds and grown cover plants were added to help with the erosion. 

Steven Kubiak ~ 2003

Steve's Eagle Project consisted of working with a local town historian and members of Troop 12 to clear brush and trash from a badly grown in Elder Ballou Meeting House Rd. Cemetery.  

Robert A. DiMuccio, Jr. ~ 2003

Bob's Eagle Project was a joint venture with the Blackstone River Park Service, the Town of Cumberland and his High School.  During his project his team cleaned up the River Park on Mill St. in Cumberland.  They also took water samples from the river and a several outfall structures.

Adam Condon ~ 2004

Adam's Eagle Project consisted of working with the Cumberland, RI Recreation Dept. to clean trash and debris along the hiking trails in the town Monastery Greenway Lands. The project also provided new  markers for the trail system on the property.   

Justin Murphy ~ 2004

Justin's Eagle Project consisted of working with the Pawtucket, RI Recreation Dept. to clear trash and create a new sitting area on the cul-de-island of Slater Park's new Bike Path.

Joseph DiMuccio ~ 2005

Joe's Eagle Project involved the renovation and clean up of the playground at Community School in Cumberland, RI

Keith Feather ~ 2005

Keith's Eagle Project was a trail cleanup on the Otis Farm Trail on Scott Rd, in Cumberland, RI for the Cumberland Land Trust. He also created a trail map with a nature tree identification course with numbered markers. A map box was made and set up at the trail head to hold the maps.

Andrew Kelly ~ 2007

Andy's Eagle Project was a food drive for two local food pantries.  2,633 pounds of non-perishable food items were collected and donated.

John Sullivan ~ 2007

John's Eagle Project involved organizing a Blood Drive and Bone Marrow Registration, as well as the collection of used eyeglasses and hearing aids.

Adam Aveno ~ 2008

Adam's Eagle Project was collecting new and gently used children's books for donation to the Hasbro Children's Hospital and other local literacy efforts.  Over 5,000 books were collected.
